COVID Updates – eff. 4/5/2021

Updated COVID-19 Visitor Policy

Because the state of Alabama will be revising the ‘Safer at Home” order, some of the COVID restrictions will be modified.  While we are thrilled to be able to move towards our old normal, we must continue our efforts to protect our patients and staff with masking, socially distancing and screening all who enter our office.  With that goal in mind, effective 4/9/2021, we will be updating our visitor policy to the following:

For our OB patients:

  • One visitor over age of 15 will be permitted to accompany the patient
  • The patient and visitor must comply with entry point screening, must wear a mask that covers both mouth and nose and submit to a temp screening.  If your temp is greater than 99.8, you will not be allowed to enter.
  • Visitors will be sent to an exam room and cannot leave the patient care setting/exam room at any time.  Upon completion of the exam, the visitor will be asked to wait in the hallway outside our entrance while the patient completes any labwork and finishes her visit at check-out.

For our Gynecology patients:

  • No changes to current policy.  No visitors allowed unless accompanying a patient who is <18 years old, a patient needing mobility assistance, or a patient needing translation assistance.
